Penny and I enjoying a nice winter walk after a snowstorm
Nature and photography are two of my passions. I am fortunate to be living in Canada, in an area with beautiful nature and much biodiversity. I also own and manage 200 acres of forest, so there is no shortage of opportunities for nature photography.
Birds are by far my most photographed subject. I have traveled to several places to go birding and enjoy nature, including The U.S., Costa Rica, South Africa, Finland - and I plan to do much more of that!
I have been taking photos since 1976 when my Dad first gave me his Minolta SLR. Once I started, I got hooked and have been trying to get better at it ever since.
Today I shoot with Canon DSLRs (EOS 7D for nature, older XTi for my camera trap) and Sigma lenses (100 mm macro, 150-600 mm telephoto and 10-20 mm wide angle).
I hope you enjoy my site and blog.
